AI in healthcare: Miracle cure or ethical hazard?

AI technology is moving at pace, prompting an important question of how to balance innovation with regulation which, to date, has not kept up with these developments. This session will consider whether AI can be adopted safely and equitably, and what healthcare organisations need to consider. It will explore key questions around the opportunities AI presents for the health system; how AI regulation can support, not hinder innovation; whether AI will exacerbate health inequalities; and how patients can be engaged on the use of AI tools as part of their clinical pathway.
