How can financial flows support neighbourhood health?

Delivering the ambitions of the 10 Year Health Plan around neighbourhood health will not be possible without payment reform. Currently, fragmented financial flows in the NHS are a barrier to delivering integrated, joined-up care and incentivise more activity in acute settings despite policy ambitions to deliver more care in the community. Aligning with funding flows across local government is even more challenging. This session will explore different payment approaches, such as outcomes-based contracts and gain/risk share arrangements, to deliver neighbourhood health and showcase what systems are already doing.
