Moving from collaboration to courage: building the conditions for system change in integrated neighbourhoods

The national NHS Leading for System Change programme is building a London leadership ecosystem grounded in networks, systems thinking, and trusted relationships. Its aim is to move to a model of collective leadership, working across sectors and boundaries with a systems mindset. This shift is vital to strengthening neighbourhood teams, accelerating the move from acute to community-based care, and designing services around what matters to local people. Join key representatives from the programme to explore how it is enabling a strong cross-system leadership network across the NHS, local authorities and the VCSE and how leaders are developing deeper relationships, stronger networks and new habits such as listening, experimenting and connecting across boundaries. Hear from leaders who are now working differently, showing greater confidence, courage and agency to rethink what is possible within neighbourhoods and collaborate more creatively on long standing challenges. This session is an opportunity to explore how to sustain a new leadership approach across health, local government, the VCSE and neighbourhoods to shape models of care around community needs.
