Prescribing intelligence: data insights to drive value and improvements

The session will showcase how data can be used to benchmark and identify prescribing trends and areas of potential improved value for money, implementation of national guidance, overprescribing and medicines safety issues, which can then be targeted to help improve patient care. Scenarios from primary and secondary care and mental health medicines data will showcase how it can be used, with deprivation data mapped alongside the prescribing data to show areas of health inequalities with prescribing. System-wide data from region, ICB, locality, primary care network, practice and patient level will enable all participants to engage with data across all levels.
