Reform or die: how far are we prepared to go to save the NHS?

The NHS and the BBC are two of the UK's most beloved public institutions. Both are deeply valued by the public, both face intense scrutiny and rising expectations, and both have to navigate the challenge of reforming alongside maintaining public support and accountability. As the NHS aims to move from recovery to delivering the ambitions of the 10 Year Health Plan, leaders face a critical question: how can meaningful transformation be achieved in a complex, financially constrained and politically charged environment? This session will explore how NHS reform can be accelerated, drawing lessons from inside and beyond the health sector. Panellists will examine the bold choices, trade-offs and leadership behaviours needed to drive change at pace. Delegates will hear fresh perspectives on how the NHS can evolve to meet changing needs, and leave with a clearer sense of what a genuinely reformed NHS could look like.
