Setting individual priorities and ego aside: why trust and relationships are key to delivering neighbourhood health
When considering a model of neighbourhood health that sees services designed with and by the communities it serves, strong relationships and trust are crucial to create the conditions for all parts of the healthcare system to collaborate effectively. There must also be a willingness to change how power is exercised across all levels of the system; achieving equity of voice, particularly for the voluntary sector, is central to this shift. This podcast with Macmillan Cancer Support will bring different actors within one partnership in West Hertfordshire to explore these challenges, looking through the lens of Macmillan’s neighbourhood transformation work and community-focused ‘anchor offer’, which aims to strengthen the role of local community organisations in the delivery of neighbourhood health. This session is sponsored by Macmillan.
